Big Epol.
I supposed I needed to actually post something when something was actually happening to this life of mine, so I did.
Being in NY wasn't as hectic as I thought it would be, and it wasn't as hectic as when we were in San Francisco for a week. We've been here for two, and we'll be here for the next six days, so we'll be squeezing as much out of the experience as possible, before going to LA.
It's mostly been laid-back, going to the museum-type fun the past couple of weeks. Our days are more or less about waking up at 12 give or take, something I rarely do. At most I wake up at 10 past, even if I slept at 2 or 3. It's definitely the cold, which I've gotten used to, thankfully. I kinda miss the 37* Manila heat. Or, not really.
Since my sister has work the whole day every day, it's mostly been my brother and I going off on our own doing whatever we want. The subway's amazingly convenient in NY, so it's pretty easy to get around. It stinks a lot though. Our purple LRT-2 is much cleaner. Just not as packed. New Yorkers have wide personal bubbles.
Cable TV here is awesome. I could just sit here watching it all day, but you know, we have to go out and sightsee. *rolls eyes*
Been to the Museum of Modern Art (which I loved), Metropolitan Museum of Art, Int'l Center of Photography, Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Union Square... We even went to Atlantic City in Jhurzeey, where all these casinos are, and where we were still a minor and not yet legal. So we had to walk down the boardwalk instead. And it was like The Birds with all these seagulls flying everywhere, and you'd be scared shit that you'd get shat on.
Shops here are great too, although I've done most of my purchases in SF, which I personally think is a cheaper. I've mostly been spending my money pigging out. I'm not sure, but I think my belly has grown. America does that to you. I'm thinking about buying a shirt and shorts later though. Cuh-lothes here are cuh-razy! (Expensive.)
Now we're about to go to the Museum of the City of New York. I'm not quite sure what's in there. The name doesn't give much away.
So I'm going. I went!
