Non-birthday-related prattle.
I'm 19. Last of my teenage years. Not that that really means anything; it's just an excuse for me to be apathetically juvenile, ya know, the whole "teen years" bit. I don't really know what that means, or if "apathetically" is a real word.
Okay. I'll try to put this entry into some logical order, starting with this plug-in: Cinemalaya Film Festival this week! Woo! The most important bit to remember about this occasion, is to go see Sarong Banggi, Thursday, 7:30 p.m. because I am selling tickets at P50. Just so you know, I'm required to watch it too. That, and the film before it, Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros at 4 or 5. You can also watch Pepot Artista, which won the whole shebang, tomorrow at 7:30 I think. But we aren't selling tickets for that.
Barenes. I went to the Cinemalaya Film Congress at the CCP last Friday. Got to watch Anino by Raymond Red and see a bunch of filmmakers--Kidlat Tahimik, Nick Deocampo, Erik Matti, and this other guy whose name I shouldn't have forgotten, because he worked his ass off from being a P.A. to becoming a director.
The only thing I can say is this: Kidlat is one crazy SOB. Not that there's anything wrong about that, of course. (Labshu Ica!
)
Sabadoom! Tutuloy pa dapat yung congress sa Sabado, (Filipino bigla.) e may org event kami, kaya nag-UP ako.
She beats the hell out of all those other fugs.
Kidding. Just vote her.
Sunday. Walang nangyari. Ayun.
Monday! Eh ayan. Nyeta. But my Uncle Don and the Vasquez family made my day. Thank you Uncle Don! Thanks Vasquez family! Oh, and my own family too. Thanks!
Fin. Remember, Sarong Banggi, Thursday, July 21, 7:30 PM, UP Diliman Film Institute, P50! (More competently thought out details here.)
Buy tickets from me! This is the future of Philippine cinema! (Hindi pa ata confirmed iyan.) Iyun lang. And happy birthday to me!
Currently feeling: yay!
