I watched...

Spiderman 2 last Saturday, and then I watched it again today.

Try looking for Stan Lee. I only noticed it the second time (in the movie itself, and not the ending credits).

I also only noticed on the second viewing how that Conners guy, P. Parker's prof, is missing an arm. Possible Spiderman 3 villain? Maybe.

Things I bought: an "A Tale of Two Sisters" VCD, an embroidery ring, and a set of safety pins

I need sleep. G'night.

the silicon chip inside her head
gets switched to overload
and nobody's gonna go to school today
she's going to make them stay at home

and daddy doesn't understand it
he always said she was good as gold
and he can see no reason
'cause there are no reasons
what reason do you need to be shown

tell me why
i don't like mondays
tell me why
i don't like mondays
i don't like
i don't like
i don't like mondays
tell me why
i don't like mondays
i want to shoot
the whole day down, down, down
shoot it all down
heeyeea

and the playing stopped in the playground now
she wants to play with her toys a while
and school's out early and soon we'll be learning
the lesson today is how to die

and then the bullhorn cackles
and the captain tackles
with the problems and the how's and why's
and he can see no reason
'cause there are no reasons
what reason do you need to die, die, ohhh

tell me why
i don't like mondays
tell me why
i don't like mondays
i don't like
i don't like
i don't like mondays
tell me why
i don't like mondays
tell me why
i don't like mondays
i don't like
i don't like
i don't like mondays
ooohmmm
i don't like mondays...no...

i wanna to shoot
the whole day down
whole day...
whole day....
the whole day down

***~~~***~~~
On 29 January 1979, 16-year-old Brenda Ann Spencer opened fire on children arriving at Cleveland Elementary School in San Diego from her house across the street, killing two men and wounding eight students and a police officer. Principal Burton Wragg was attempting to rescue children in the line of fire when he was shot and killed, and custodian Mike Suchar was slain attempting to aid Wragg.

Spencer used a rifle her father had given her as a gift. As to what impelled her into this form of murderous madness, she told a reporter,''I don't like Mondays. This livens up the day.''

This lil piggy went to the concert

...and woke up dizzy, with the world really spinning. I felt like throwing up.

Okay, I went to "Freshie Bangs!" (says the stamp on my hand) at the Bahay ng Alumni, stayed there for only three hours (and I didn't catch Imago, swerte ko talaga) but I went home with my ears ringing. I ate, slept at 12 and then: see above.

I guess my ears were more affected than I thought. I didn't realize it then, but we were a bit close to the big speaker-things. So, loud concerts + me = waking up lousy in the morning.

I wanted to see Imago.

Pills...

for my acoustic trauma. Yes, acoustic trauma, ladies and gentlemen. That's an injury to the hearing mechanisms within the inner ear, caused by excessively loud noise. I still suffer "dizzy flashes", but not as many as before.

Watched "Tale of Two Sisters". It's very well done, I like how it turned out, although I do have to watch it again coz I still haven't figured everything out.

Hmm.

Ako: "May karapatan ako dito."). Haiskul. Basa comics, basa "American Gods" ni Gaiman, sundo, uwi. Tapos!

Bluestalk

I stalked some people. Heehee. No really. Okay, I didn't steal their clothes for me to wear or send them red roses with maggots. I followed them around the mall. That's stalking, right? Right.

Anyway.

It so happened that today UP had a student summit and so we didn't have class from 10-4. So I took advantage of the free time to do our assignment, which was to follow someone around the mall, watching what they did, what stores they went in and so on and make a character study for said person. I called my groupmates up and it turned out four of us could go to SM-North. And so we did.

We first followed this girl looking at Harry Potter's 5th installment, along with other children's books (may pamangkin o kapatid siguro)
in National. Then she joined her BF and then proceeded to walk around the mall, stopping to look at the movie skeds and Swatches. We decided to give up when they turned to the cinemas. Drat. Damn you Spiderman 2.

Second stalkee was a guy in the department store's record section. He kept looking at OPMs and love songs. We spent, what, 15 minutes there? We quit.

We then went back to Nat'l Bookstore, with the thought that it'd be easier to "figure out" a person by their book choices. Sure enough, we were able to actually stalk someone! We stalked "Cosmo Girl", a woman wearing blue-gray gym clothes and, get this, she was being followed around by a "Personal assistant", a somewhat chubby, backpack-toting yaya. Weird.

I'm not quite sure what she bought at Nat'l, but apparently my classmates thought she was a lonely girl with no friends. Hmm.

We followed her to a Watson's drugstore, where she bought breath spray, Likas papaya soap, a shower cap and, of course, a copy of Cosmo (plus some other things I can't recall). She also had a lot of credit cards and a 3650.

Ain't stalking fun? I recommend it to everyone.

Happy birthday to me.

Tanda ko na. Grabs.
Legal na ako. Hihiramin ko na yung Eyes Wide Shut ni Tony. Heh. Did I say that out loud?

Pretty good day.

Bukas balik eskwela. Haay.

I'm glad to be alive.

Doobie.

I'm writing our character dossier on the chick we stalked. Actually I've only formatted it, I haven't really written anything yet. Plus I have to write three entries for my Creative Writing journal. Klah. (Gotta stop procrastinating, Joma.)

I have stuff in my gallery, so have a look-see.

Why are people acting up on the Jay Leno thing on our country pulling out? Hello? It's a joke, people.

I bought Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman. Oooh.

Dumaan ako sa AS Walk. I should do that more often.

Heh. Walang Math at Kas uli.

Midterms na!!!

The ka-walalang-ness of it all.

Bubulleh.

Nanood kami ng "Hable Con Ella" o "Talk to Her" sa UP film center.

Meh. My Block Booster trivia ek-ek bukas. Nakakatamad.
Gah. Kailangan ko irevise yung dossier. Nakakatamad.
Impiyernes, medyo magaan yung freshie life ko kaysa sa iba. Malas kayo lahat. Wahahahaha

Asteeg ng Tenchu: Stealth Assassins soundtrack. Saka yung 12 Girls Band astig din.

Naka 3/8 ako sa homework sa Math1. Heheh. Wala kasing solution.

Hmph. Pongalangalang diskriminasyon o. I-rarally ko iyan.
EQUAL TREATMENT FOR ATENEANS!

Where in UP is the Videotheque?

In the UP Film Center, the part which faces the Lagoon/Sunken Garden, beside the tennis courts.

I went to UP at 1:00 pm earlier this afternoon to watch the Hayao Miyazaki anime marathon at the videotheque with Jomel, Jerome, and surprise guest AJ. I was running late and thinking I was going to miss the movie, but luckily I got there in time: I was the 82nd person out of the 85 that they would only allow inside the cramped AV room.

The 1:00 film was Castle in the Sky, a 1986 cartoon about miner boy Pazu, who finds a girl, Sheeta, who has fallen from the sky (I think). He finds that she is on the run from pirates and the army, who are after the stone she possesses which has special powers.

The whole thing was reminiscent of Megaman Legends, what with miners, crystal treasure, airships, and bumbling idiots following their mother-master ("Yes, Miss Tron!"). I think I would have enjoyed it more if I weren't stuck sitting on the floor, trying to read the subtitles. My back hurt.

After the film, we met up with Tony, went to Blueskies to play Warcraft (we won, but it was an unfair 3-2 fight, UP-Ateneo style) and then returned to UP for Jerome's belated birthday blowout.

After the almost free meal (we spent 40 each for iced tea), we went back to the videotheque, played cards until EJ showed up, barely getting a ticket, and we were let in at 6 pm.

We watched Spirited Away, and I can see why it won the Oscar. Even though I saw it already (okay, saw it with a hazy, pirated VCD), the somewhat-Alice-in-Wonderland, Neil-Gaimanny tale didn't lose its charm. I loved every minute of it.

Sad how they never reached the general public. Everyone should see them.

Oh, yeah, the whole thing was sponsored by Titus Brandsma Center. They regularly show films (controversial daw) at their building in New Manila. They have a site.
